About Edward Rasberry

We call him Boe:

To answer that question, we will have to take a trip down memory lane. Boe was a man wrongfully convicted to 135 years to life. I grew up in a poverty-stricken neighborhood known as South Central Los Angeles, with ten siblings. I grew up without a father or a positive male role model in my life, so in search of guidance I turned to the streets and found solace in the embraces of my big homies filling that void of lost love, not having a father began my life of crime. 

THE CONVICTION (No Hope)

One afternoon, I was on my way to shop for merchandise for my business, cops pulled me over, handcuffed, and took me into custody for a carjacking, robbery/assault with deadly weapon. Law Enforcement explained to me that one of my family members had implicated me in a crime that I knew for sure I did not commit. The charges stuck due to my past criminal behavior and record. Being a x-gang member, and my past criminal record the charges stuck. Tried, convicted, and sentenced. OMG! I was gone for Life. 

THE MIRICLE (Trusting)  

One day while sitting it in my cell depressed ready to end my life. I then asked the Holy Spirit to please reveal himself to me. I fell asleep, suddenly awakened by a tap on my foot. I woke up visibly shaken and afraid, finding that I was completely alone in my cell knowing that this was the rest of my life, spent in a four-by-four cell with only walls and bars. I then realized that was the HOLY SPIRIT revealing himself to me. Soon after, my thoughts, my heart, my everything began to change for the better. I started to work on Ed Berry clothing Line to free my mind, through the grace of God and the person who entered my life and supported me through the legal system. I made it before a Judge that believed in second chances. She resentenced me and set me free from the bondage of years that I would spend in prison. 15 years later here I am, new life, new plan, and no longer sentenced to 135 YEARS TO LIFE. Now if that is not a miracle, I do not know what to call it!
